EP #278 Are You Thrilled to Build?

Start building your culture early - like day 1 early.

A lot of people hope that their people will “mesh well”.

You can try to hire good people and expect them to help each other do good work. This is possible and not a bad idea.

What’s a bad idea is ignoring the need to take specific steps - to build intentionally.

Even the best people need direction. Building workplace culture takes some effort but it’s worth it.

And those great people you hired, they should also be building. In other words, make sure they know the type of culture and foundational aspects that are in place so they can contribute themselves on day 1 of their relationship with the company.

I hope you have a thrilling weekend. 👷🏼‍♂️
